Our Story
Joel Burstein is the Founder and CEO of Keep it Simple Training and Development. He has spent over 20 years working with both nonprofits in underserved communities and professionals on all levels. He started Keep it Simple with the goal of ensuring that nonprofits have the capacity to serve the populations that trust them, by giving them the most innovative management and fundraising training techniques, typically received by those in Fortune 500 companies.
What We Do...
Keep it Simple works with organizations to customize behavioral training programs that assist those in need to not only obtain meaningful employment, but also retain that employment.
As Keep it Simple has grown, Joel’s scope of work has broadened to include workforce development training. Joel designed this training for constituents who typically have barriers to employment, such as TANF recipients, Veterans, Immigrants, Reentry, and Individuals with disabilities.


What Makes Us Unique?
Keep it Simple is pioneering new ways to make adult education both fun and long lasting. It is our belief that adults learn differently and the content and methods should be beyond lecture and testing. We believe that many of the challenges individuals face are solvable, but they first must be aware of what is holding them back and then be willing to change those behaviors to achieve success.
